Ambassador Kaisamba presents Letters of Credence to Turkish President
Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Turkey, Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba has on Tuesday July 14, 2020 presented his Letters of Credence to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Mr. Kaisamba is the first resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the Republic of Turkey.
During the historic ceremony, Ambassador Kai-Samba conveyed greetings and best wishes to the Turkish President, on behalf of President Julius Maada Bio, the government and people of Sierra Leone.
The two leaders discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, especially the enhancement of the trade volumes between Sierra Leone and Turkey.
Ambassador Kai-Samba assured of using his tour of duty to develop trade volumes between the two countries.
He explained that the government of Sierra Leone continues to pursue a disciplined economic path, stressing that, despite the economic challenges and the effect of COVID-19, they have prioritized investment in human capital development through the launch of the Free Quality Education and the scaling up of investment in healthcare through the delivery of quality, accessible and affordable healthcare services to the people.
Ambassador Kai-Samba further assured the President, government and People of Turkey that Sierra Leone will always view Turkey as a strategic development partner.
According to him, the establishment of an embassy in Turkey is to build and strengthened the existing strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Recep Erdoğan congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic endeavor.
He said the opening of the Sierra Leone embassy in Turkey will further strengthen and develop the existing bilateral relations between the two nations.
Ambassador Kai-Samba was accompanied by his deputy, Paul Minah, and the Head of Chancery, Mohamed Lamin Khan.
