The charity organization, Cotton Tree Humanitarian Development Foundation, on Friday December 25, 2020, celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ (Christmas Day) by providing cooked food and drinks to kids in the Segbwema Township.
The food and other items, which cost millions of Leones, were received with great joy by the children and patients, who were also full of praises for the organization.
Meanwhile, the charitable organization has been supporting children and patients in that part of the country for several years.
Even though the CEO and founder of Cotton Tree Humanitarian Development Foundation, Fatmata Sillah was not present, members of the organization were on ground to deliver the goodies to the kids.
Madam Sillah told Modern Series from London that the day was special for her, especially when she is in the position to donate food to the children and others on Christmas day
“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then just feed one. It makes me feel good by putting smile on the faces of the children,” she said and noted that she was fortunate to be blessed by people she didn’t know.
“I have experienced hardships in my life, so for that reason I am determined to leave a positive legacy. I fervently hope this will help.”
She assured the children and parents that such gesture would not be the last as they would continue to receive more goodies from her foundation.
According to her, the objective of the foundation is to reach out to the needy, poor and under privilege with goodies.
