Housemates Salone Season 2… Another Talents Exposure

It is no longer a secret that Sierra Leone has lot of talented people, especially the youthful generation. Housemates Salone has proven that we have talented and experienced actors, of various ages and ethnicities that can do whatever you need to make things happen but the platform for them to showcase those talents is what is absent.
The move taken by Sierra Leone biggest GSM operator Africell and the leading Broadcast Media, Africa Young Voices (AYV) has been described as the right move at the right time.
The introduction of Housemates Salone Season 2 proudly organized by these big institutions provides the enabling environment for youths to showcase their hidden talents, as well as expose them to viewers across the world.
Those who will be participating in this year’s Housemate Salone Season 2 will be transformed as it will help in empowering them for the better.
Africell and AYV are household names when it comes to youth empowerment, they are the leaders. They always create the platform for youths to showcase their talents. Over the years they have been supporting several activities ranging from sports, entertainments among others.
Housemates Salone Season 1 among other shows was a clear manifestation of what Africell and AYV can do. Those who participated in that show were exposed to lots of experience.
Africell and AYV during the launch disclosed that Le250 million has been set as the Star Prize for the winners of this year’s Housemates Salone Season 2, a reality TV Show, dubbed ‘Quarantine Drama’.
The Theme ‘Quarantine Drama’ speaks for itself, indicating that you have to be talented in other to dramatise.
A couple will emerge as winner of the ‘Quarantine Drama’ show but they will not only be the beneficiaries other participants will benefit as possible choices by corporate bodies for the promotion of their brand.
The ‘Quarantine Drama’ of 20 housemates from both sexes will stay under the same roof for 60 days, physically cut off from the rest of the world, socializing, learning useful skills like cooking, singing, going through trials on how to express themselves in different situations, setting goals they want to achieve, learning how to resolve conflicts, playing games, swimming and so on, will provide the necessary experience needed to go through life. Whilst in the house, theses housemates will cultivate positive attributes that will help shape their lives in their future endeavours, and has the proclivity to positively influence young viewers.
There are lots of positive impacts in this year’s ‘Quarantine Drama’ show that talented youth won’t like to miss.
Housemates Salone has transformed lives and it will continue to do so. The platform which was provided by Africell and AYV contributed in help a lot of youths to discover their talents and by bringing them onboard to foster their respective projects.
A clear manifestation of this was the winner of Housemates Salone Season 1, Kenchin Palmer, whose exposure by the show, resulted in his staging of a show in the United Kingdom, with support from other stakeholders, as well as his signing as Brand Ambassador for the Sierra Juice Company in Freetown and now advertising the company’s products.
Beside the Two Hundred and Fifty Million Leones (Le250M) Star Prize the winner will also undertake a round trip to Dubai on the expense of the organisers and will be expected to develop a personal project that will be rolled out to impact the lives of other young people. Though the winners will get the Star Prize, all other participants will have their daily allowance of Le100, 000 during their stay in the house.
