He disclosed that over Five Billion Leones have been generated from leases, building permits and freeholds, and that over 8,000 private survey cadastre plans have also been signed.

Also, the Lands Minister stated that the ministry’s Dispute Resolution Mechanism have succeeded in settling over 150 disputes peacefully, as well as 150 development control and enforcement issues within the Western Area and the provinces.

“Our collective effort as a Ministry has yielded great dividend towards the New Direction Agenda. We have paid for all Airfield and Reservation Quarters in the provinces and resurveyed learning institutions like Fourah Bay College (University of Sierra Leone), Milton Margai College of Education and Technology (Goderich Campus) and Njala University (Mokonde),” he disclosed.

Lawmakers showered praises on the Minister and the Ministry for such remarkable achievements, noting that such will help to build public trust and confidence in doing business with the ministry using the right channels.
